We’re looking for a responsible, passionate, and compassionate certified nursing assistant (CNA) or home health aide (HHA) to join our team. Check out the details below!
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supports clients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands.
- Accompany client to doctor’s visits or other appointments/errands
- Assist client in getting into and out of bed, transferring to and from a wheelchair or walker
- Maintain accurate records of home visits, including travel time and time with a patient, as well as services performed
- Provide patient care with all daily living activities
- Medication Reminders to clients
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for the client
- Provide care to individuals with disabilities, injuries, difficulties with mobility, or illnesses caused by numerous medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and procedures; maintaining security precautions; following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards
- Check and record patient vital signs
- Examine clients for bruises, blood in urine, or other injuries/wounds
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members
- Provide and empty bedpans
- Lift clients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc.
- Clean and sanitize client areas, including changing bed sheets
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience as a home health aide preferred (if applied as HHA)
- Access to reliable transportation
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) certification
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Must be respectful and compassionate
- Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
- Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course (if applied as CNA)
- Current and Valid Drivers License (If transporting clients DL must be without speeding or moving violations in the past 3 years)
- Proof of Auto Insurance (if transporting clients)
- TB Test (Required. Within a year and redone annually)
- Health Statement (Required)
- Level II Background Screening (Required)
- Social Security Card or valid green card. (Required)
- Reliable transportation (Required)
- Must be at least 18 years old (Required)
- Ability to work weekdays as well as some weekends
